BASIC COURSE

For those approaching the sport of sailing for the first time, the course includes:
:: basic terminology
:: basic knots
:: rudiments of meteorology
:: safe sailing
:: casting off and mooring
:: all points of sailing
:: tacking and gybing
:: capsize righting techniques
:: basic rules
at the end of the course students will be able to rig and dismantle the sails and running rigging and sail in medium wind conditions safely and independently.

ADVANCED COURSE

For those who have done at least one basic course or have a fair experience of sailing:
:: fine-tuning the boat on land
:: all points of sailing including in strong winds
:: use of spinnaker and/or gennaker
:: meteorology based on environmental observation
:: rudiments of racing strategy and tactics
:: rounding buoys
:: racing rules of right of way and definitions
at the end of the course students will be able to rig their boats on the basis of weather conditions and correctly compete in a race.

RACING COURSE

For those who have already attended at least two previous courses or who have wide sailing experience. Learners are allowed to participate with their own boats.

at the end of the course students will be able to take part to national and internationale match-race competitions.

SPECIALISATION COURSE

For those who have already done at least two advanced courses or have considerable sailing experience.
You can take part with your own boat. Each course will involve consultancy by federation trainers and technicians.

:: reading a weather chart and interpretation of sea data
:: tacking and gybing with roll
:: race strategy
:: analysis of the race course
:: race tactics
:: study of racing rules
:: introduction to match-race
students completing this course will be capable of racing at area, national and international levels.
